Dasho Chhewang Rinzin

Dasho Chhewang Rinzin is presently the Managing Director of Druk Green Power Corporation Limited since the year 2008. He started his career as the Engineer Trainee in the Department of Power in 1985 and gradually rose to the positions of Engineer, Executive Engineer & Superintending Engineer. In July 1994 he was appointed as the General Manager, Kurichu Project Authority and later in 1999 as the Managing Director for Kurichhu Hydro Power Corporation Limited and also KPA. He further served as the Managing Director of Bhutan Power Corporation Limited from January 2004 to December 2007. Currently, Dasho is also the Chairman of the Dagachhu Hydro Power Corporation Limited and also the  Board member of BPCL and NPPF.

Dasho was conferred the red scarf by His Majesty the King on 17th December 2009 and was awarded prestigious Druk Khorlo on the auspicious occasion of the 107th National Day of Bhutan.

Phuntsho Wangdi

Phuntsho Wangdi was appointed to the CDCL Board on 8 March 2019. He was the former Director-General for Bhutan Narcotic and Control Agency. Before BNCA, he served as the Managing Director of National Housing and Development Corporation Ltd. (2005-2011). He was also Thrompon of Thimphu City from 1999 until 2005. He has MSc. in Urban Development Planning from the United Kingdom (1985-1986), Post-Graduate Studies in Development Planning from United Kingdom (1984-1985) and PG Studies in Rural-Urban Relationship, Housing, Urban Finance, Disaster Management from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and PG Studies in City Planning from Tokyo, Japan.

Tenzin

Tenzin was appointed as Director to CDCL Board on 8 March 2019. He holds a master’s degree in Water Resources Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He began his career in the Ministry of Agriculture as Assistant Engineer (Civil). Prior to his current position, he served as the Director of DES, MoWHS. He is the current Director-General of Department of Roads, Ministry of Works & Human Settlement.

Karpo Tshering

Karpo Tshering was appointed to the CDCL Board on 24th March 2020. Karpo Tshering has been serving full time as a Senior Manager, Corporate Services Division, Druk Holding & Investments since January 2018. He previously served as the Manager of Information Technology Unit of the same organization. He has extensive experience in the field of Information Technology services having led SAP ERP Implementation for DHI Group and some of its companies. He has Bachelors of Computer Science (Honors) from Sherubtse College (2005) and Master of Computing, with specialization in Software Engineering, from the Australian National University, Canberra (2017).

Nagtsho Dorji was appointed to the CDCL Board on April 19, 2022. She is a current Director for the Department of Culture, Ministry of Home Affairs.

NORBU WANGCHUK

MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND HUMAN RESOURCES

Norbu Wangchuk was appointed to the CDCL Board on April 19, 2022. He is the current Director of the Department of Technical Education, Ministry of Labour & Human Resources.

Karma Gayley

Karma Gayley has a Master's Degree in Hydropower Development from the Norwegian University of Science of Technology (NTNU), Trondheim Norway and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from PSG College of Technology (Bharathiar University), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu (India). He is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Construction Development Corporation Limited.

    Working experience:
  • 2011: Executive Engineer, 720MW Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project.
  • 2009-2007: Dy. General Manager, 114 MW Dagachhu Hydropower Corporation Limited (DHPCL)
  • 2007-2005: Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Contracts Division, 1020 MW Tala Hydroelectric Project Authority (THPA).
  • 2001-2005: Assistant Engineer 1020 MW Tala Hydroelectric Project Authority (THPA).
  • 2001: Trainee Engineer, in the erstwhile Department of Urban Development and Housing (DUDH), Ministry of Works and Human Settlement.
